So apparently I am currently an incoming Freshman at two colleges: Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Monterey Bay. How am I supposed to get to my classes up in Monterey Bay?! D: I don't think the Amtrak will be able to take me up there in time for my classes.

But seriously, I swear I do not remember ever saying "Yes" to Monterey Bay...huh. I'm going to try e-mailing them tonight or tomorrow in order to clear up this misunderstanding, but I am also going to try and call them also. *sighs and face palms*

Crap...I didn't do any homework this past weekend....and this is including Senior Ditch Day.

I don't even remember anymore what homework I'm missing due to being gone from school for a while along with having only two days of school last week. I also have been doing nothing except for constantly playing "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: The Explorers of Darkness" for the past week. It's such an addicting and really fun game. On top of that, my memory hasn't been the best lately...I don't even remember much what happened on certain days. On top of that, :D I haven't even finish that art project of mine!! Yay~!!!

Oh yeah...digressing a little, on Senior Ditch Day I went out to the movies with Kristen (she didn't have any school also since they had Prom on Thurs. night) to see "Prom Night". It was an average horror movie...pretty predictable. I was able to predict all of the things the murderer was going to do before any of the action even started. Oh well...at least I got a good laugh since Kristen got freaked out during the movie. We were the only people in that movie theatre awesome!! I wanted to scare Kristen by pretending to go to the restroom and then sneak up behind her during the movie. But I decided against it since the movie was already reaching to the good parts. Meh. After that I went to work...average. Then I also went to see the Tri-school production of "Beauty & the Beast". I am actually amazed on how many people I know were in that production. At least 13 of my classmates/old school friends were in there. I was happy to see Tim in the play since I haven't seen him for over 6 years. XD He looks more like his eldest brother than Justin, but he's still sarcastic as ever. His role (D'Arque - the owner of the insane asylum) was so awesome it made me want to laugh evilly in there.

Saturday...hazy...very hazy. All I remember is going out to Kinokuniya to get paper for my Narrative box. Then that's it. Which reminds me, I need to update my Narrative journal...I'm over a month behind. Ontop of that, I don't even remember what happened within that span of time....God why am I rambling like an idiot?

:D Done with my rambling, to sum it up right now: If I'm missing any homework/not finished any homework, I just don't care anymore~!! La la la~!!!

Warning: Pokénerdness showing through

I bought "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness" a few days ago. I'm such a dork! :D But it's a very fun and addicting game.

When ya' start the game it makes you take a personality test...and this is what I ended turning into:

Yes the drawing is done by me oAo;;; just a little quick doodle.

Personally...I thought I was going to be a different Pokémon type. I never thought of myself as a Fire-type. Oh well *shrugs*. :D

But overall, it's a really fun game. Play it you fools!! D: For you do not know what you're missing!

We got first place!!! Omg yay!! :D We went up to San Francisco this past Friday - Tuesday for the Heritage Festival (a National Choir Competition) and we won!! Yayy!!! We also placed 2nd overall!! We did so much better this year compared to last year! I'm so happy!!

I also found out that new episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender are finally out for Season 3!! D: The only problem is that it's not released in America yet. *le gasp!!* So ya' guys have to find it probably on the Internet or something...(as drea put it) is Nickolodeon trying to support piracy?

Oh well...I also start trying to find "Recess" episodes XD seeing that drea wants me to app. as "Gus" for CFUD tomorrow. :D Senior Ditch Day is tomorrow~!!

"Why are we here again?"

So on April16th, the choir went to a festival today in North Ridge. I do have to say....this was probably the worst choir festival I've been to in my three years of choir. I thought the Montabello High School festival was bad with the flying rubber chicken. Oh no...this is more like nails against a chalk board bad. The first note from the first choir already sent off "OH CRAP. . .they're really bad." signs from all of us, but it just got worse....the choirs started to go downhill from there. All breathy and..ugh. Yes as you can tell, the Connelly choir are "choir snobs" (as me and Kailea put it). The only reason why we went to this festival was to get another plaque on Dehn's wall...if this was also a way to raise our morale, it's a very horrible plan Dehn. This festival just raised our ego/snobbiness more than our spirits. We kept asking ourselves this one question during the whole festival: "Why were we here again?"

So today the choir had competition today in San Diego (the choir came down to S.D. yesterday). We placed 2nd! Whoo!! :D All of the Connelly parents keep saying that we were "robbed" of 1st place, but I guess there are some ups and downs to it. Ups: Winners have to host the competition next year. Since we got 2nd, it saves Dehn a whole lot of stress on trying to find a large place to host the competition. Downs: Apparently a lot of the choir members and parents keep saying that the choir group who won 1st doesn't deserve to win it since they were bad. (>__>;; I can't say much since I sort of slept through that choir...we had to wake up at 5am and get there at 7am! D:) But overall, I'm happy with our placing...we were in the top 3 and that's all I hoped for. So it came true and I'm happy. *nod nod*

So I'm staying behind with my parents here in San Diego. We visited the Old San Diego and also visited the Whalely House (one of the most haunted places in Cali.). We decided to leave early since there was a bunch of people filming a documentary there. ^^; Didn't run into any ghosts...they probably like to come out at night more anyways. Tomorrow I'm going to go to the S.D. Zoo! :D Animals~! Yay!

A PotO fanatic doing a review

(Note: Ya' guys don't have to read this...I'm just putting this up for my own enjoyment as a nerdy fan of PotO. XP Please don't forget that this is based mainly on my opinion people if ya' actually read all of this!)

So today I went to see the "Phantom of the Opera" National Tour group at the Orange County Performing Arts Center. I'm sad to say, I was sort of disappointed with this group.

Well to start off on my review, I will start off with our three stars: Erik (the Phantom), Christine Daae, and Raoul (aka: The Vicomte de Chagny).

Erik (played by Jason Mills) - I gave him the nickname of "Young Phantom" due to the fact that his voice sounds really young, compared to the other Phantoms, ex: Les Miserables Phantom (aka: Anthony Crivello) and Lisp Phantom (Howard McGillin). He has a really good range when he sings. The song in which he shined the most was probably in "The Phantom of the Opera". Personally I would be saying "Music of the Night" as the shining song for Jason, but he just stumbled a little while singing the song that I felt sort of sorry for him. He made it up by hitting the high notes correctly at least. I found it funny that he sounds a lot like Lisp Phantom, only without the lisp, but it's probably the director's choice on what type of person that is chosen as Erik should sound. I was mostly disappointed in was his acting skills. He needs to work more on attaining the character of Erik because he acted as though Erik had a childish and cocky personality OR he acted like a really really bad game show host. I know it's based on all of interpretations of the actor, BUT there are certain parts that need to be yelled out in either anger or sadness. He just failed at that by only barely yelling it out with a weird tone that sounds like a host saying "You just won a brand new car~!!!" Jason, please learn to react better...if you had a deformed face and someone took off your mask, wouldn't you automatically cover your face to hide it from other people? You sort of killed the magic and mystery by allowing other people to see ya' deformed face for those few seconds. Sadly Jason is my least favorite Erik out of all of the PotO performances I have seen. I believe he could go far as Erik if he improves on his acting and reacting skills. So keep improving and I hope to see you do a better performance sometime in the future! :D

Christine Daae (played by Sara Jean Ford) - Nickname: "Greenhorn Christine" since this is her first time as a major lead role. She has a very pretty voice who has an awesome range and good control of her voice. Sara hit the high notes very easily during the cadenza in "The Phantom of the Opera" even though she sang it a little softer than most Christines, ex: Vibrato Christine (Jennifer Hope Wills) and Las Vegas Christine (Kristi Holden). But when she needs to sing loud, she can sing really belt. She shined a lot in "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" and especially in "The Phantom of the Opera". Unfortunately, I believe Sara needs to learn to emote a little more. But by the time it got around to Act 2, she was emoting much better. Like Jason, she also needs to learn to react better to certain situations. Certain parts like where Christine is shocked by the Christine manequin for example, Sara needs to be more shocked....not just fall over and that's it. Along with the part where she I believe overall she just needs a little bit more emoting and she will make it! Another Broadway show I believe she'll go far in is "Beauty and the Beast" or "The Little Mermaid". She has that type of voice which will fit those type of shows. ^^;

Raoul (played by Greg Mills) - Nickname: "Non-appealing Raoul". Yes you read it correct...he was not appealing in looks wise. I am sorry, but he wasn't that handsome compared to the other Raouls I've seen, ex: Michael Raoul (Michael Shawn Lewis), Black-haired Raoul (Ryan Silverman), and Psychology Raoul (Tim Martin Gleason). He does make up in a really good voice. The only problem was that he always seem to be drowned out when he's singing with two or more other people.

Now after all of that, I'll probably do short summaries about the other characters.

Piangi (played by John Whitney) - Nickname: "African Piangi". He was very funny! XD He is probably my favorite Piangi next to Zubi Piangi (Larry Wayne Morbitt).

Carlotta (played by Kimilee Bryant) - Nickname: "Thin Carlotta". She's probably the thinnest Carlotta I have seen. Not saying that it's a bad thing... .__.;;; The problem for me is that she tends to sing really really quiet, and Carlotta is a diva. A diva will always sing loudly!! D: So sing your heart out girl!!

Madame Giry (played by Nancy Hess) - Nickname: "Non-Vibrato Mdme. Giry". She sounds a lot like the Mdme. Giry from the movie version. Also not saying that's a bad thing! D: It's just a little different from most of the other Mdme. Giry who always sing with A LOT of vibrato.

Meg Giry (played by Polly Baird) - Nickname: "Sweet Meg". Meg on stage is a sweet heart even when doing background actions. She also has this tone which is very quiet, but yet pretty voice.

Monsieur Firmin and Monsieur Andre (played by Bruce Winant and D.C. Anderson) - Nicknames: "Young Firmin and Andre". I dubbed them this name because most guys look really old. Yes I know these guys are old also, but the costume people made them look younger compared to the other Firmins and Andres I've seen in previous shows. So yeah...*shrugs* Andre is especially funny during the part where he tells the people that the Act 3 of the opera "Il Muto" would start. Firmin was funny during the part where he and Andre tried to convince Carlotta to come back and perform in "Il Muto" since Christine was missing.

So uhh...need a graduation dress for well...graduation. >_>;; I do have a pattern, but I just need to find fabric and all of that fun stuff. D: Why can't we all choose and have the same dress?! The damn wankers! The other Holy Child schools do that and it saves them a lot of bloody trouble of going out to find dresses that look almost the same anyways!!!

Other than that nothing much happened today...stayed at home and watched "Millennium Actress". It's a very good anime I do have to say and it's the kind of anime that leaves a good feeling inside even though the ending is sort of sad. What else? I also played an hour or two of video games before being dragged off to church for Good Friday. Didn't stay for the whole thing since I had to go off to work. XP

Then after work my parents and I went to Westminister to go see a play. My friend Teresa was in it and she was casted as one of the main characters in the play. The play is called Run For Your Wife. It's really funny and I swear I felt like as if I'm watching a BBC show. XDD The story is about a British taxi cab driver (John Smith) that is married to two women. One lives in Wimbledon (Mary) and the other lives in Streatham (Barbara - my friend Teresa) not knowing about the double marriage. John goes missing for a day due to being struck in the head by an old lady's purse while trying to save her from being mugged. This worries both of his wives and they decided to call the police. As always, insanity ensues when John and his friend/neighbor, Stanley Gardener, tries to cover up his reason for why he has two different addresses and why there are two Mrs. Smiths when the police go visit him at the two flats.

Like I said, it's a really funny play and it's worth seeing. Though I wished that it could have a better ending, but it was very well written. :D

Apparently the Diocese of Orange County issued this rule four years ago, and Connelly hasn't applied this rule until now out of the blue...It's also screwing the choir over since we're having competition next Friday.

This new rule is called "Fingerprinting". (Hope ya' don't mind if I borrow this drea ^_^;)

"The policy of the Diocese of Orange states that volunteers will be disqualified from their ministry setting involving regular contact with minors if a criminal background check indicates the existence of a prior conviction for one of the following categories of crimes:
* a conviction for any sex offense included in the penal code
* a conviction for possession or possession for sale related to narcotics
* a conviction for a violent or serious felony (generally a horrific or violent crime)
* a finding of insanity as part of a criminal proceeding

In the event of such a disqualifying conviction, the pastor will be contacted with the information that there is a disqualifying conviction and the person will be removed from any ministry involving minors.

All volunteers having regular and consistent contact with minors are required to:

* Complete a fingerprint criminal history background check
* Receive and read the Diocesan Sexual Misconduct Policy and return a signed acknowledgment to the parish
The process using the Live Scan technology takes only a few minutes. After filling out an information form, the individual places the palm of the hand on a glass screen while an electronic image of fingerprints is taken.
The results are returned to the Diocese within four hours to a week later. In order to protect individual privacy, each person will be assigned a parish code."

Basically it's mainly for school events and all of that stuff. Yes that's understandable as anyone could see. (to see more about this wonderful rule, ya' can check here: http://www.rcbo.org/site/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=119&Itemid=58 {note: copy and paste the link})

But apparently, one of the administrators at Connelly has fucked up on the interpretation of this rule. So now the way Connelly interprets this rule is that any person who comes in any contact with a student must be fingerprinted. Whether it's for school events (graduation, choir trips, etc.), dropping off/picking up your own kids at school, or just coming onto the school grounds to drop something off at the office. You must be fingerprinted or you're not able to talk to the students on campus.

So now, the school has told Dehn about this rule sometime last week. The school told Dehn that he was able to only have two parents fingerprinted as the main chaperones. Then the next day the school called him saying basically, "Oh sorry Dehn! We want ALL OF THE PARENTS fingerprinted instead! Ontop of that, we need them all by Thursday so kthx bye!" Dehn argued with the school administrators for over a hour and a half about this damn rule. The school's not going to do anything about it and they don't care. So right now all of the parents are rushing around to get fingerprinted and trying to turn it in by tomorrow. If the parents don't turn in their fingerprints, then the school is going to cancel our San Diego trip.

What the school didn't realize (or if they did, they're stupid to figure out) was that they're the ones who are reimbursing the parents who get fingerprinted. So...that means the school will have to spend around $500 - $700 in total for reimbursing. I wonder how much the school will have to pay for reimbursing people who go to things like Grandparents' Day or even Galaxy of Stars...God why is my school idiotic? Oh but wait there's more!

Apparently none of the school faculty except for Dehn and the school admin. has even heard or know a good amount of detail about this damn rule. None of the school administrators are going to tell the teachers since they said, "It's not my problem." Right now Dehn is frustrated and really stressed (>_>; I just hope his spinal meningitis thing doesn't act up...) along with all of the choir parents protesting. *sighs* And I ask again, Why is my school so screwed up and horrible at interpretation skills?

oh the grogginess of life

I never realized how much class plays can take out of ya' last night. After I played my accordion on stage, I was helping Swanson and Frankie backstage on getting the food onto the plates ready. When I got home around 3, I just flopped on the couch and slept. Woke up, went to work groggy, and then headed off to the other class play performance. :D But I saw Kim Nguyen again and I hung out with her during the Sophmore and Junior performances. I also hung out with Bevvy and Poofy during the Freshman performance along with the intermissions. When it was the senior class play performance, I was backstage helping Franky with the food again after my accordion thing. X___x I was also blinded by the spotlight while I was performing. God it was bright....

:D But we won "Best Play" and "Best Director(s)"! Yay!! Even though I had a feeling they were going to give me an award about my accordion playing, I knew something bad was going to come with it. Lo and behold, they gave me "The Note-able" Award.

I woke up early to get to Cal State Fullerton in order to take the EPTs (English Placement Tests). I was groggy during the whole test so I just hope I did well.

After that, went straight to choir. Stayed there for five hours rehearsing and feel like falling over sleeping. Nori was in the same state as me so we decided to sort of fool around by poking, tickling, and mock-fighting in order to keep ourselves awake. Chelsea, Alvarez, and a friend of Dehn's came over to visit us. Chelsea and Alvarez were a lot of help for "I am not yours". :D Thank you!

Phoenix Wright print

In my art class we were doing a print making project. So I decided to the Blue Badger from Phoenix Wright! :D

What I didn't realize after I put the stamp on the paper was that the picture was in reverse D: *le gasp* Oh well...it still looks good and I'm happy!

I'll probably post another photo later of the same print only colored with watercolors.

So today went with my parents to see "CJ7" in Irvine. It's a Chinese movie directed by Stephen Chow (He also directed "Shaolin Soccer" and "Kung Fu Hustle"). The movie's in Mandarin so ya' guys have to read subtitles for it. It's a very typical Chinese movie, but it has its cute and funny moments.

Story in a nutshell: A poor widowed father lives with his son and tries to teach him to be a virtuous person so that his son could have good opportunities. While trying to find his son some new pair of shoes in a garbage dump, he comes across an alien egg. Thinking it's a toy, he brings it home to his kid. Then insanity ensues once the alien hatches....

Overall it's definitely a Stephen Chow movie if ya' ever watched his previous movies. The silly characters, animation characters do that is similar to a Bugs Bunny cartoon, having Stephen Chow insert himself as the main character (at least he pulls it off well). But it doesn't have a lot of kung fu action like its previous movie siblings. What makes it up for me is the alien (aka: CJ7). It is very adorable in my opinion. It has a head of a tribble and a personality of a dog...oh dang it here. Let me show ya' what it looks like.

So yeah. :D Instead of studying and all of that, I'm doing this! Yay for procrastination!!

Oh yeah, before I forget. The Pop Concert went really well on Fri. and Sat. We made a lot of money, and everyone loved the concert. :D I also went to Megan's B-day part after the Sat. Concert. XD;;; oh god the insanity that ensued over there...we voted, smoked cigarettes (D= It's really cigarette candy made out of pure sugar I swear!!), and got tattoos (actually it's just kiddy tats ^_^;). Me, Andie, and Morgan were also messing around w/ Morgan's sister, Sloan. We were saying that Andie was a guy (took a photo of one of the guys at Meggie's party and sent it to her) and we were messing around while talking to her and stuff. XDD Oh god it was funny...we were sugar high, tired, and exhausted that night.

:D I just got back from Vegas today. I've been staying here since Friday and I did a lot of stuff.

I saw the Phantom of the Opera once again. XD I'm still a PotO obsessed fan, and I still love it! (I need to listen to the OBC Soundtrack more.. ^_^;)

I saw Spamalot last night. I also found out John O'Hurley (He's the host for "Family Feud" and was on the 1st Season of "Dancing with the Stars") is playing King Arthur O_o Weird....but he did a great awesome! It was really funny show, and they did a great job making it flow with all of the cuts. They didn't really cut a lot out of the Brodaway show. They just made some changes in the lyrics so it would flow within the 90 minutes or so that it mentions being in Vegas instead of Broadway. Still a good show *nod nod*

:D Another highlight for me yesterday was meeting Grant Imahara from Mythbusters! He was just walking by with his girlfriend and I noticed him. I don't have any camera to show any proof that I did meet him...but I swear to God I know I did meet the adorable dorky Asian Mythbuster! D:

Right now I'm doin' crunch time to try and finish makin' my book for Narrative. X___x; Gah...

Oh yeah! :D Meet my new friend Harold!! I got him at the Spamalot Shop!

Say hi to Harold!! :D

Harold?
So I just got back from Kairos today. It was a little bit better than I thought. I didn't cry like most people in there, but I'm not feeling completely satisfied after doing this who event....Everyone is supposed to feel like a new person, got a better understanding of yourselves, etc. I willingly, despite the fighting between my will (who didn't want to do it) and my conscience (who wanted to do it, and won), went along with it. I opened up myself to everyone in my group (to a certain extent..there are still things that are better left unsaid.) But no matter what I did, there's always this nagging feeling that taunts me after trying in every way to find a solution to the problem. Was it because of my will's stubbornness on not opening myself up more? Was it due to me not fully grasping the main idea of the speeches (was mainly drawing...yes I am horrible. Shut up. ;;;)? Or maybe was it my inability to fully tell a person on what I thought of them today after being with them for the past 3-4 days? I don't know anymore....I'm just confused right now.

I'm a horrible person by sneakin' on the computer for NON homework purposes!! :D

So....I'm now starting to get back into one of my very old anime obsessions. No not Cardcaptor Sakura (>__>; I'm still obsessed with it...just not as bad as 6-7 years ago.), but Digimon!! Yes the show that is like Pokemon, but only they're digital and they can talk to humans!!

Alright, maybe not ALL of the seasons, but mainly the 1st and 2nd Digimon series. I was watching the original Japanese version of the Digimon movies: Digimon Adventure, Our War Games, and Golden Digi-eggs (or known as the "Digimon Movie" in the English version since they put all three movies together). All I have to say is, "Wow....those dubbing people must be on crack or something...." Script is very very different from the original. Not a sign of crack jokes anywhere in the original, and ontop of that it makes a lot more sense on some things. I know the dubbed version tried to be funny and all, but it just feels awkward. It's probably due to the fact that I just watched that movie years ago in the movie theatres going, ":D I Love this movie!!! It's the best!!" While being probably the oldest kid in the movie theatres. >__>;; Shut up...Digimon, what in the hell has Saban done to you?!!

So apparently two weeks ago, some people broke into our school and stole DeJovine's computer and projector for the Smartboard. Then on Monday night they struck again. This time they broke into rooms #1 - 4 and stole only the projectors. Another problem was they used lemons from the lemon tree to break Seely's and Ambrose's windows to check if they are any security systems. (The only classrooms w/ the security systems are the science labs.) The police came over and everything. Some people have caught some guy scouting the school. *sighs*

Driving permit tests...how I hate you so.

So I failed my driving permit test...again. I also got chewed out by my parents....again. Hahaha....go me!!

.........you know what? I just don't care anymore....I hate driving anyways.
Reasons are:

I'm the type to fall asleep in any car. So I'm a driving hazard on a freeway.

I will get road rage. It won't be a pretty sight.

Driving...just bores me.

I know it's a necessary thing for people, seeing that we always have to travel to far places w/in car distance. But it just doesn't interest me at all....

But overall...I better get that damned permit next week or I'm fuckin' screwed.
So finals are finally over. I have no school today, so what I have been doing anyways since Friday?

Splurging on video games that's what I've been doing. I've been mostly playing Guitar Hero III and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo: HD Remix. Once in a while I play Katamari Damacy or We Love Katamari (The PS2 sequel! :D). I also bought Guitar Hero II, but I found out the hard way that the PS3 isn't compatible for all PS2 games. I could explain it and all, but I think you would get bored. So me and my dad had to convince the people at Fry's to return it and give us at least store credit.

Not really excited to go to school tomorrow...as always.

On top of that, I have other essays and quizzes to study for.....double crap.

*sighs* Oh well...I'll probably finish it early in the morn' *cough5amcough*. I've started dottin' my pointilism picture...I think it'll turn out okay. And speaking of art class. D: Why does my Hugh Laurie picture hate me?! The first one got food grease stains on it (I take the blame for that one >_>;;), and now my second one gets crumpled up with the newspapers!! (I swear to God this one isn't my fault) *screams* =___=;;;; Hugh Laurie picture....what did I do to you to make ya' hate me so much?

Just to divert my mind from all of this grumbling and griping... :D Here's another meme!!

Nonetheless, here are ten things I've done, which you probably haven't:

1) Sang at the White House in 8th grade

2) Struggled getting the monstrace out of the cabinet thinking it was the cups for the wine, and then having the priest catch you in the act.

3) Tore my ACL and my meniscus while playing volley tennis and soccer in P.E.

4) Traveled to over 100 cities.

5) Played in the Coupe Mondiale at Alexandria, Virigina.

6) Wore reindeer ears while playing the accordion w/ my friends at a X-mas party, and then later having my mom blackmail me w/ the pic.

7) Won "Queen" category in AFNA

8) Lion danced in Los Angeles with my Kung fu trope for Chinese New Year.

9) Have been injured two times in a row while Christmas caroling.

10) Have been on t.v. more than 5 times.
